Mia's Wood Ball
Mia's Wood Ball and Charity Auction is the principal fundraising activity for Mia's Wood.
Money raised from the ball supports the development and maintenance of Mia's Wood, plants more trees and allows us to provide free community nature events such as MiaFest, our annual children's nature festival.
The Ball and Charity Auction has been held in the autumn of 2013, the winter of 2015 and the spring of 2016 at at DeVere Horwood Estate, a luxury hotel venue just a short walk from the Mia's Wood woodland site in Little Horwood.
To date, the three balls have jointly raised over £30,000 for Mia's Wood.

The Mia's Wood team would like to thank our generous guests for joining us at our 2016 spring-themed Ball in April 2016.
We are delighted to announce that you have helped us to raise £11,407, an absolutely magnificent sum. This was 94% of our income in 2016. Your generosity is truly humbling - thank you.
Equally, we continue to be amazed by the generousity of our donors. The auction prizes included a long weekend in a luxury French chateau, tickets to the O2, a week in a Swiss ski chalet, a gourmet cookery class at Michelin-starred Paris House, a stunning villa in the Hamptons, USA and many other amazing prizes.

Karen, from Karen W Photography, took some fantastic photos of the evening, and she made us all look like movie stars in the arrival shots. However, we particularly love the photo booth ones taken later in the evening, as they really show people having a great time...
Our talented band The Eclectix also ensured we were all tempted onto the dancefloor.
We hope that everyone had a fantastic night, and came away inspired by the work we are doing at Mia's Wood to bring the wonder of nature into children's lives.
